Member Terms

These terms are between Cereal & Co. Grocers ("we", "us") and the member named below ("you"). They explain how ordering groceries now and paying on your pay day works. Please read them with us before you sign.

1. Membership and verification

  1. Membership is for adults (18+) in formal employment. We verify you in person at your workplace before your account is activated.
  2. Once you're verified, we send your login details to your WhatsApp number. Keep your password private. You are responsible for orders placed with your login.
  3. Tell us straight away if you change phone number, floor, desk or employer, or if you change jobs.

2. Your spending limit

US$40unpaid at any time during your first 3 months from sign-up
US$100unpaid at any time after 3 months as a member
  1. The limit is the most you can owe us at once. It covers all orders that are not yet paid. The shop will not accept an order that takes you over your limit.
  2. When you settle on pay day, your full limit is available again. We may lower or raise a member's limit, or pause an account, depending on how payments go.

3. Orders and delivery

  1. You order through our website (or WhatsApp). We deliver orders within CBD Harare. Please check your order when it arrives and tell us the same day if anything is missing or damaged.
  2. Prices are in US dollars, as shown when you order. You may cancel an order until we start packing it.
  3. Liquor is sold only to verified members aged 18 and over, and only where we are licensed to sell it.

4. Paying on pay day

  1. You agree to pay the full amount owed for delivered orders on your pay day, as recorded below, by cash, EcoCash or another method we agree on.
  2. If a payment is late, we will pause new orders until the balance is cleared, and we will contact you to arrange payment. If you cannot pay on time, please tell us before your pay day.
  3. Orders paid "cash / EcoCash on delivery" are paid when you receive them.

5. Your information

  1. We keep your name, contact details, workplace location and order history only to run your account and deliver your orders. We do not sell it, and we will not contact your employer about your account. Full details are in our privacy notice at /privacy.
